Aviation Systems

PhotoTelesis has a long history with Military Aviation. The first ATR200 Airborne Image Transceiver was installed on a MD530 helicopter in 1987. FLIR still frame images were transmitted over UHF Tactical Satellite thousands of miles. The 14 pound black box used in 1987 has now been replaced by a small module called PRISM™ (Photo Reconnaissance Intel Strike Module). This module is used in products such as the Fast Tactical Imagery II (FTI II), PRISM Video Tape Recorder (PRISM VTR), VPIDM (VME PRISM Improved Data Modem), and PRISM Improved Data Modem II (PIDM II). These products have been deployed in Bosnia, Kosovo, Southern Watch, Afghanistan, and Iraq
