Our custom engineering department has the expertise, resources and infrastructure to do turnkey product development, as well as customization of any current PhotoTelesis® product for both commercial and military environments. Our experience and expertise lie in the fields of electrical engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering and electro-optical engineering. We offer a complete documentation package, subcontract engineering, sustaining engineering and warranty support.
Software Engineering - The Software Engineering Department at PhotoTelesis® can provide complete software solutions at all levels - from firmware, drivers, plugin modules, all the way up to the GUI interface of a Windows® application. Specializing in tactical protocol development as well as state-of-the-art image compression technology, the PhotoTelesis software team and customize any of their products to meet your special needs.
Electrical Engineering - The need for custom electronics design arises from special constraints on space, power, functionality, and performance. Many commercial off the shelf (COTS) products simply do not meet the demands placed on PhotoTelesis® equipment. The Hardware Engineering Department at PhotoTelesis takes ideas from the whiteboard, through design, layout, prototyping, and production.
Mechanical Engineering - PhotoTelesis® products often have strict military requirements in the areas of environmental and EMI protection. Our mechanical designs are tested to MIL-STD-810E (environmental/shock/vibration) and MIL-STD 461D (EMI) standards to ensure deployment of a product that can withstand harsh military environments. PhotoTelesis has design expertise with machined metals and plastics as well as extrusion.
