Modular Sensor Assembly (MSA)

The PhotoTelesis® Modular Sensor Assembly™ (MSA) is the eye of the Light Weight Video Reconnaissance System (LVRS) out station. Comprised of the Control Module, Day Channel, and Night Channel, the MSA is a ruggedized video sensor that can be configured for day or night operation via interchangeable day and night channels.

The Control Module is the heart of the system and contains the User Interface, color viewfinder, control buttons, battery compartment, and video frame averaging circuit. The Day Channel has an 26X optical zoom, and can provide vehicle recognition at 1500 meters. The Night Channel utilizes frame averaging and a Gen III image intensifier.

The MSA is typically powered by a BA-5800 battery, which lasts 10 hours using a 50 percent duty cycle.  It also accepts 5-15 VDC through the external connector.

The MSA can be used as a stand alone device or it can be attached to the Military MicroRIT™ and remotely capture images.
